wallymar asked:
my wife and i are going to stay at the monte carlo in late may will the monte carlo be open again from the fire, if not i heard they own a couple different hotels in vegas will they put us in a different hotel, will they just cancel us or will they take care of us i know may is a few months away i hope it is open at that time i have heard a lot of great things about the hotel and the swimming area, if anyone has any info please let me know. thanks.

Why don’t u call and find out.
No, the rooms are hot!
You need to calm down and call the hotel to find out what they are doing for their customers.
Your best bet is to call first. They may have something worked out with another hotel on the strip and you might be able to get transfered over for the same or even lesser price.
don’t cancel
if anything ask for a better
room because of all the inconvience
best bet is call they may or may not shut down the hotel unless your room was one that burned down im sure they will take care of you somehow.
About a month before you go, I would make a phone call and find out. Don’t make a trip to Las Vegas and find out when you get there that you don’t have a room.
It would be best to contact your travel agent if you used one; they have a lot of pull when it comes to making sure you are getting what you paid for in the Monte Carlo.
If you didn’t use a travel agent, contact the hotel directly and get your reservation switched. They may even upgrade your room for deciding not to cancel and working with them during these “troubling” times.
You always have the option to cancel … but try these suggestions first.
Good luck.
why do i think that Monte Carlo is in france? i think i heard a bout it in french class. oh, well don’t cancel reservations and if you have a terrible time then complain and get a refund.
too bad about the fire. C’est la vie.
Your best bet is to call the hotel to find out. They have an 888 number you can call for this information. It’s at the top of this web page:
You will be fine. The fire only damaged the roof, and roof facade.
There was no damage to the casino and the regular rooms in two other towers. The casino will be opened long before May. It was a fire on the roof on the facade of the casino, not inside, possibly caused by a welder.
Monte Carlo is owned by MGM Mirage Corp and there are other hotels if needed to “house” guests.
Give it a couple of days and call them once the staff is back inside and ask questions.
Check with them if they say to make new new reservation check out the site below
The Monte Carlo is made up of three seperate Hotel Towers and only the one is closed. You need to contact the hotel to get specific information as the room you will get has most likely not even be figured out yet since you have four months until you go out there. The tower that was damaged will reopen as soon as they remove the damaged facade and then only the top few floors will be closed. The Monte Carlo is owned by the MGM Mirage corporation and they own 50% of the hotels in Vegas so I would not worry about not getting a room. They are only losing a few floors of one hotel out of thousands of rooms between all their hotels. Again, just call the Monte Carlo at 888-395-0776 for specific info and make sure you let them know you would still like to stay at that hotel as I am sure they are taking requests from guests who may want to stay some place else after what happened.
