That is where you will find the best of everything. The best food, which you should sample at each stop, and the best souvenirs. Every section of Italy has a different "flavor" you could say. I'm not sure if you have ever done a trip like this before, but my suggestion would be to not pack each stop with things to do. You will just get overwhelmed and exhausted. Try to remember to stay laid back. That's how they are in Europe. Just stay flexible and soak in as much as you can. It will be wonderful.
