Alex asked:
I will be in Vegas in late January and need a budget friendly Place to stay. Have searched deals, but am unsure to which is best (only my 2nd time in Vegas) I stayed at the circus circus last time thats the only reason I listed it it. But need some advice since I am solo this time.
LUXOR is best.
Monte Carlo is too old.
Circus Circus is for kiddies.
How did you like your stay at Circus Circus? Because as far as I know out of the three you listed, it seems like Circus Circus might be the cheapest one on your list. Although, I would believe that Luxor would be a little more expensive out of the three just because it is considered a popular hotel on the strip. Monte Carlo isn’t that bad either, i’m not too familiar with their prices.
My suggestion would be Circus Circus. If you’re not making a big deal about the scenery (because it is sort of aimed toward kids and whatnot), I would stick with that if your last stay wasn’t that bad.
Are you just planning to stay on the strip only? If not, i’d also suggest checking out the Palace Station (it’s a Station Casino). It’s not on the strip but literally 5 minutes away from it (you just take Sahara road east and once you’re over the bridge then you’ll be right on the strip!) It’s located by the Sahara hotel and the Stratosphere, I know for a fact their rooms are super cheap (I want to say $30-$80 and somewhere in between, but double check to make sure!)
Best of luck!
Well are those your only options? If they are then I suggest the Luxor because they have some bars/club and shows plus dinning. Circus Circus is way out of the question lol you’ll be with alot of kids and plus that place is soo old and rundown. Monte Carlo is a nice place, if you want to be somewhere peaceful then that would be the place because they really don’t have anything there…their restaurant is like very expensive. They just opened not too long ago a place there though called Diablos Cantins it’s kind of like a bar/club where they have some bands and stuff.
If you are not limited to those places then I suggest the newly remodeled Planet Hollywood. You are in a great location to walk anywhere..shops, clubs, bars, poker. They actually have all of that at the casino.
I’ve stayed at Circus Circus by myself, too, one time. It’s a good place for those on a budget. I stayed at The Imperial Palace once, too, by myself. They have some great deals in January. Their rooms are going for $35.00-$40.00 on weekdays. Double that price on weekends.
I see the Monte Carlo has a winter special going for $55.95/night. Rates go up quite a bit on the weekends, though. It’s a very luxurious hotel.
I saw rooms going for $55.99 a night at the Luxor.
Circus Circus has rooms at only $27.95 a night. I’d go with Circus Circus if I were you and save money.
By the way, I even checked on Motel 6 room rates in Vegas, and they are all between $40.00-$50.00. So Circus Circus is your best bet.
Hope that helps and good luck on your trip to Vegas! Enjoy!!!
Definitely don’t stay at Circus Circus. Too old, too many kids, terrible location, etc. I have stayed at both Monte Carlo and Luxor and they both are really nice especially considering the budget. Monte Carlo is less crowded and Luxor has more popular clubs. Luxor is also closer to Mandalay Bay which has more clubs including some new lounge made out of ice just like in the Bond movie but Monte Carlo is closer to the action on the middle of the strip. One more thing to consider is Monte Carlo is next to all the construction for the highly anticipated City Center so it may be a bit nosy in your room if trying to get any rest.
Circus Circus has too many children for my taste – and the walls are so thin you can hear the people in the next room coughing, etc. Palace Station, just off the strip, is nice. The rooms in the 1 story bldg behind the tower are cheaper. Whatever you do – don’t stay at Travellodge right next to Circus Circus! *shudder*
Luxor – it’s a fun place for young people.
Monte Carlo is okay, but attracts an older crowd. Circus Circus is too family-oriented and out of the way.
The Monte Carlo is mid strip and has a tram to the Bellagio. Sign up for the free slot card and they will send you offers for hotel rooms. Check to see when the pool opens again.
Luxor – lots of young people like that place and Mandalay Bay which is right next door. New York, New York has a ton of young people too and it’s in the same area.
i would stay at the luxor
try the strat if you are on a budget, also check out hard rock and TI. If its not to much for your wallet, I would do TI or Hard Rock since you are a single guy.BUt Strat would be ok too, I think. Luxor is old folks. and if you stayed at Circus, you know that answer. LOL.
Good luck and have fun
Luxor, then you can ride the tram to Mandalay Bay which really caters to the younger crowd.
LUXOR definitely!!
